About Port Isaac Shanty Weekend

We are so pleased to announce that the Port Isaac Shanty Weekend 2026 will take place in and around the village on October 3rd & 4th.

This totally free event has evolved from the hugely successful shanty festival that we can no longer put on because of the increasing costs involved. But do not fear, our weekend might be a tad smaller but our village will definitely be as big as ever, echoing with live music from some amazing performers, sharing the songs that we love to sing, in our village by the sea.

Our weekend will take place in seven venues – Port Isaac Village Hall, The Chapel Café, The Slipway Hotel, The Mote Restaurant, The Golden Lion Pub, The Old School Hotel and All Aboard Café & Restaurant. They are all very excited to be part of this new venture. As well as welcoming singers and visitors everyone has a bar and food and everything you could need to add to your visit.

Shanty groups and musicians will come together to make this an amazing weekend. Although totally free to attend there will be collecting boxes round and about as we are hoping to raise money for the upkeep of our lovely old village hall. Visitors don’t need tickets. Just come along and enjoy.

It’s going to be an amazing weekend to be in Port Isaac.
